The Defender Inhibitor Test Kit is a simple way to check that a system treated with Defender Central Heating Inhibitor has been dosed to the correct level for proper protection against limescale and corrosion, two of the main culprits of system issues and breakdown.

What if the Heating or Chilled water system volume is not known?

When the system volume is unknown, a ‘rule of thumb’ calculation is noted below: Bear in mind extra piping between the heat source and emitters.

Hot Water: 6 x kW of the system = volume.

Chilled Water: 12 x kW of the system = volume.
